Looking for Writers: Will Pay Your MMO Subscription Fees
Sunday
Mar 29, 2009
My long term goal for this site is to make it one of the top places to find out thoughts, opinions, and news related to the top online games and game trends in the blogosphere, and so if you are interested in writing about your favourite game, then you might be interested in the offer I am opening up: I’ll pay your subscription fees in return for writing on this site.
If you would be willing to commit to one or two posts per week, of no less than five hundred words per week, I’ll pay the subscription cost of one of your online games.
Requirements
- Paypal payments only! It will be up to you to actually use the funds towards your subscription costs
- If you can write proper English and accept Paypal payments, then you can apply.
- Writer must understand the basics of using WordPress, or be technically savvy enough to learn quickly
- Writers must be willing to be consistent. 500 words per week. Any less, or excuses, without previously notifying me and a prorated amount will be paid out based on one cent per word.
As the site grows, expands and does better, and I key in on some amazing writers, I would be willing to expand this deal to where I am paying for multiple game subscriptions for the right writers. If your online gaming is taking away from your grocery fund, this could be the answer you are looking for.
What Games am I Looking for Writers On?
Nearly any, as long as it is fairly popular, or could be popular (if it isn’t released yet). A few games I’d love to see covered on this blog, but I don’t have any real interest in writing very often on include:
- Age of Conan
- City of Heroes
- City of Villains
- EverQuest and EverQuest II
- Guild Wars and Expansions
- Second LIfe
- Silkroad Online
- Warhammer Online (aka WAR)
- World of Warcraft
How to Apply
If you are interested in writing for MMO Bin, please leave a comment on this post, making sure to include your correct e-mail address in the e-mail field so that I can contact you. In the comment, please put which game you’d be willing to writing about, how long you’ve been playing, and some “proof of fandom”.
I look forward to adding a few writers to the roster, and will keep this invitation open until I’ve filled as many spots as I can afford.

EQ and EQ2 - my site is proof enough of ‘fandom’ I think, but if you need more let me know. I don’t require payment for either of my accounts.
